Swimmer’s skin care? any advice?
I am a copetative swimmer and I have problematic skin (acne) and I’m not sure how to deal with it since being in the water dries it out and also put dirt into it.
I’ve tried mosturizing which helps somwhat.. also I feel like I need to wash my face less in case it gets dry and irritated? Is that the way to go?
I’m not sure what to do to help my skin under these conditions! any advice?
PS how do you make the redness go away? (The redness is alot worse after I swim)

I’m a swimmer too, and that chlorine and questionable pool water can really mess with your skin. I recommend getting an exfoliating scrub, with little mini-exfoliator beads in it. I promise, it works wonders. That gets the dirt and yuck out of your skin while also moisturizing and not over-drying. Also, for moisturizing make sure you’re using a lotion that doesn’t have any sort of perfumes, dyes, or anything else in it. You may want to get a lotion specialized for faces, instead of bodies. Redness also goes away with exfoliation and moisturizing because it’s usually red because it’s dried out. Hope this helps!
