Does tricare prime cover 1 plastic surgery for the spouse?
I have heard numerous rumors that tricare will pay for 1 plastic surgery operation, but then i read in their ‘handbook’ that they dont. I have a medical issue that was caused by a military dr, and needs fixed, but its not ‘demed’ as a medical necessity. I need it fixed and I want tri care to pay for their f*ck up.
its not far to me that i have to look like this from their stupid (majority of them are) drs. that don’t care, they just get paid.
Tricare will pay for any elective surgery as long as your Dr. deems it as being necessary.
I know women who have also had plastic surgery under tricare.
I had a tubal reversal with them,and in the handbook and website, it tells you that it wont pay for it.
If they did something to screw up, then you need to address it with your MD and tell him/her, you want a referal to have it fixed. If you “ask”, youre likely to hear no, if you tell them, I want a referal, you typically get it.
Also, and this is last ditch resort, I do know women who have actually had a congressional inquiry as to why they were not being taken care of under Government Medicine.
I would just say, give me the referal, or I will make a short trip to the capital of the state.
If any service member, or their dependants make a complaint, a part of the congressmans staff has to check into it, and decide why its not being addressed.
