I don’t understand how to write a topic paper?
I want my topic paper to be about plastic surgery, except i don’t know how to write a thesis statement or introduction… Also so far i have these headings i want to include in my paper:
History of Plastic Surgery:
Plastic Surgery Today:
Dangers of Plastic Surgery:
Why People Want Plastic Surgery:
Is that okay? am i even supposed to have these types of areas in my paper? I am so clueless at this and every time i ask my teacher he never gives me a straight answer… HELP!
:]
Also I don’t get what the purpose of a topic paper is (maybe that’s the problem?)… Is it to argue with someone? Is it to persuade someone? Or is it just to educate them on a particular subject?
Your thesis would be your slant on the information you want to provide. You listed some basic facts. Here are some ways you could present them:
How has Americans use of plastic surgery changed over time?
Plastic surgery to increase self esteem is a good/bad idea?
Are health risks associated with plastic surgery worth the risk?
