I’m a girl and I have an Adam’s Apple..Is this normal?
I only noticed this a couple of months ago (I didn’t have it before). It’s really sharp and pronounced and visible..is this because of my birth control (diane 35..on the back it says 2 mg cyproterone acetate + 35 mcg ethinylestradiol). ive been on it for 3 months. my voice is normal and i dont have any other “masculine” features (i’m 5’2″ and 110 lbs i have waist definition, average sized breasts, wide hips, etc). i dont know how i got it but i hate it it really bothers me. im thinking of getting cosmetic surgery done on it but i dont know if its dangerous or if my health insurance will cover it
It is perfectly normal.
It is a common misconception that males usually have a larger one that is much more noticeable.
There is nothing wrong with it.
Chondrolaryngoplasty is the surgery that would be involve. It is a relatively simple procedure, but there is a small chance of hurting the vocal chords. It is done a lot with men who are having a sex change operation.
I’d say that insurance will not cover it. There is no health problem, it would be completely optional cosmetic.
Don’t do it, please.
